Film Screening: Real Women Have Curves In-Person

In celebration of National Hispanic-Latinx Heritage Month, we are screening the critically acclaimed 2002 indie comedy-drama Real Women Have Curves in Gibble Auditorium. This coming of age story is about a young Mexican-American woman who clashes with her mother as she tries to find herself. The film, which won the Audience Award for Best Drama at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, stars America Ferrera in her breakout debut performance as Ana Garcia.

This screening, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by High Library and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Belonging.
