WGS Spring Reading Group In-Person

Join Dr. Alexandria Poole for an informal reading group exploring Bell Hooks’ Feminism is for Everybody. The group will examine the linkages of intersectional oppression and how the rights of women are part of a larger discourse surrounding rights for everyone.

The first two meetings will be held in the High Library on the third floor in the Brethren Heritage Room on the following dates:

March 11, Monday 3:00pm - 4:00pm, Discuss the Introduction and Chapters 1-4 (pp. vii-24)

March 27th, 11:00am - 12:00pm, Discuss Chapters 5-10 (pp. 25-60).

Please feel free to come to the meetings even if you are unsure if you can make it to all of our gatherings. Bring a question or comment that you would like to discuss.
