Lift Every Voice and Sing: A Celebration of African-American Poets In-Person

In celebration of African-American History Month, Elizabethtown students are performing the poetry of a wide range of African-American poets in a concert of songs and dramatic readings. Paul Laurence Dunbar, Langston Hughes, and Gwendolyn Brooks are just a few of the poets whose works will be featured in the program. Our singers are organized by Dr. Anne Gross from the Fine and Performing Arts Division; readers will be directed by Dr. John Rohrkemper from the English Department. A small dessert reception will immediately follow the performance outside of Zug Recital Hall.

This event is free and open to the general public, but seating is limited! We recommend arriving early.
