Global Film Festival – Buena Vista Social Club (1999) In-Person
E-town music professor Dr. Douglas Bomberger will introduce the screening of this classic documentary by director Wim Wenders in which American guitarist Ry Cooder travels to Cuba to talk with and play music with the last surviving legendary musicians of the “golden age” in Cuban music. The soundtrack for this film won a Grammy Award.
