Sweet Stories: A Gingerbread Literary Extravaganza

Sweet Stories: A Gingerbread Literary Extravaganza In-Person

Step into a wonderful world of literature and gingerbread at Sweet Stories: A Gingerbread Literary Extravaganza!

Created by the students in Sarah Dutton’s First Year Seminar course, Foundations in Gingerbread: History & Beauty in Novelty Confection, this year the gingerbread houses were all inspired by works of fiction! They will include children’s picture books, young adult literature, and literary classics like The Great Gatsby and Pride and Prejudice.

The exhibit will be on display in the High Library’s reference section on the main floor from December 2 – 6 during library hours. Visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites by using the QR code you will find on our program flyers! The cost is one dollar per vote. All proceeds will support Etown Communities That Care, and everyone who participates will be entered into a candy prize raffle!

We hope you will join us for this magical holiday program of literature, community, and creativity! All are welcome. Questions can be directed to Sarah Dutton at duttons@etown.edu.
